A Message from our Principal

Welcome to St. John School where we are proud of our long tradition of following Jesus and striving for excellence. St. John School was established in 1883 and we have been producing saints and scholars ever since.  I am writing today to ask you - alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, and all friends of St. John School - for your help.  In some way, you have already helped make St. John School what it is in 2021. 

In the long history of St. John School, these past twelve months stand out as an immense challenge and an unequivocal success.  One year ago, St. John School entered into remote learning one day after being shut down during the pandemic.  We did not miss a beat and continued this learning until the last day of school.  This fall, we opened in person the day after Labor Day and have been in school in person every single day!  This has taken the hard work and dedication of an amazing faculty, supportive parents, and enthusiastic students.  We are proud of the work that we have done, and our success demonstrates that safe, in-person, rigorous learning is possible during this time.  Our students are safe, they are learning, and they are loved.

Our response to the pandemic has demanded that we increase our resources.  We have added more than six additional staff members, revamped numerous classrooms including adding two classrooms in the Church basement, added many IPads, Chromebooks, and online resources, and increased financial aid for those who need a little bit.  Today we need your help to keep moving forward and ensuring we continue changing lives through a quality Catholic education.  This includes retaining our talented teachers, continuing to provide up-to-date technology, and increasing our financial aid.  Our students need us more than ever and we need you!
